4Need to get home soon? there's a (new) app for that
Train Travel Review

Train travel is hard enough at the best of times, but when you’re confused, alone or possible steaming drunk, it becomes nigh-on impossible.
That’s where this application comes in, providing real time train information from wherever you are.
You can set favourite stations to log back to time and again, and from there you can funnel through to other stations and see when the next train there and back is.
Live arrivals and departures are a nice touch, and it’s super cool to be able to see where a train is in real time – think back three years and this kind of option would be also unthinkable on a mobile phone.
Little things make this a great application – being able to drop the background help make it feel a little bit more personalised, and you can also set a live tile to see what’s going on with your favourite train – if it’s delayed, you’ll know by just looking at your phone.
The only downside about this application is the price, and we know that applications powered by the National Rail database are expensive anyway. Valuable but pricey.

The iOS equivalent of a plain cheese sandwich: does the job, but it won't linger in the memory afterwards.

The interface feels a bit out of place on iOS, but it’s a fun app, and produces interesting results.
Puzzlejuice
Absurdly challenging, sometimes brutal, but frequently brilliant (especially on the iPad); just be aware of what you’re letting yourself in for. (Sob.)
