Need a bus? You know where to turn
If you’ve ever been out and about on the UK’s fair streets, you’ll know all about the need to jump on a bus now and again.
This application is designed to help out the troubled user who has strayed away from home and needs to find the nearest route back – or the seasoned traveller who needs updates on when their next bus will be popping along.
You’ve got an easy to use interface that allows you to search via postcode or address, and from here users can simply see the time their next bus is due thanks to an extensive timetable database.
Live Tile updates aren’t quite there as yet allowing you to see how far away your bus is, but you can pin your favourite routes to the start screen for easy access information whenever you need it.
The icing on cake comes to the lucky Londoners, as using TFL data the app is able to mimic the countdown displays you’ll see adorning most bus stops. This doesn’t seem to work as well over 3G as it does Wi-Fi, but overall it’s a very well-thought out app that’s definitely worth considering should you be a regular user of the bus. Or just afraid of missing one…
