Your phone just got cooler at high speeds
If you’ve ever been on a plane, train or (slightly broken) automobile, you’ll have wanted to know at times how fast you’re going without any way of doing so.
This application is handy enough to do just that, and combines the information with altitude info, top speed achieved on the journey and a totting up of the distance travelled.
With two visual modes on offer (a large display that merely shows your speed in big letters and an impressive dial containing far more information) it will work for easy glances and more regular updates with ease.
It’s main flaw isn’t really anything the application developers can really do about the situation at the moment – you’re basically stuck if you can’t get a GPS lock signal, and the range of phones out at the moment don’t make maintaining a GPS signal that simple.
We’re already in love with this simple-to-use application that is one of the few to genuinely impress your mates – add in navigation-based abilities from Bing Maps and this will be a stunner.
