You can't get quicker than a Windows Phone Twitter
by on December 7, 2010
A wise man once said: “That which cannot be contained in a single utterance is a notion not worth uttering.”
He could have build Twitter with that kind of thinking, and he probably would have approved of this version of the application.
The large and easy to read font makes it easy to scroll through Tweets (although you can’t see that many on the page.
It’s easy to check out another person’s account as well, with a simple tap on their profile picture taking you through to their vital stats. From here you can have a good old stalk of their tweets, message or mention them, or see who they follow.
It’s all been set out very well, and you can even switch between multiple accounts in the settings menu, which is good for when you have a unicorn-related alter ego.
You can post pictures from the composing screen, and also @mention friends – one of the few niggles is it doesn’t autocomplete names as you type them in.
That aside, there’s very little to pick fault with in this application – it’s free and while we know there will be better in the future, it’s a very good starting point.
