Need another Twitter app?
We’re not sure that we really need many more Twitter apps in the world today, but this is one the better ones we’ve heard about so we decided to check it out.
It’s a difficult one to review, as there’s not a lot here that we feel is missing from a Twitter app – you can check out everything from your timeline to Twitter mentions in an instant.
There are only a couple of novel things here, such as telling you the average amounts of Tweets per day (which we’ve not seen anywhere else) and the ability to Translate a Tweet. However, this latter functionality doesn’t seem to work in practice, despite confirming the translation.
It’s also light on user info from the main columns, meaning its sometimes difficult to see who is saying something without tapping into it.
Some other cool features include the ability to have a Live Tile that shows a random selection of Twitter users in the same manner as the People Hub on the phone.
Overall, and especially for the price, a really good app despite a slightly convoluted UI and the odd translation option.
