You know Facebook, right? The one with the movie. It's on Windows Phone 7 now.
Facebook has been taking its sweet time to get involved with mobile applications, but it seems to have hit something of a groove now with its iPhone and Android offerings.
The layout is very large and spacious, and really feels like a more premium application. You’ve got access to a number of the PC-based options, with things like status updates, news feeds and photos all catered for.
We’re glad to see Events is included here from the start (iPhone, take note) and you can also read and reply to messages from within the application too.
Windows Phone 7 comes with some Facebook integration already, such as being able to comment on friends’ photos from right within their phone profile, and that functionality is on offer here as well.
Newly updated photos are available in galleries, and the application is swift and fast under the finger, with pinch and zoom working nicely to see photos more easily.
A little notifications bar in the top of the screen will let you know when you have people tagging you or commenting on you or something (it sounds stupid when you write it down) and is a nice method of navigation.
We’re still missing Facebook Chat and push notifications, which are a big favourite with fans, so come on Facebook – make this into an awesome application please.
