The Windows Phone Metro app is simply a potted version of the website on your phone, but it uses the panorama interface from Microsoft’s OS very well.
You can browse stories in a very easy to read font, and swipe left and right to get to new articles, which is a nice navigational touch.
If you’re only interested in one particular category you can pin it to the Start Menu as a Live Tile, which will flick up new headlines from the home screen.
There’s a wealth of content on offer, and it will also update periodically for offline viewing – perfect for the Underground commuter.
Not the world’s most impressive app in terms of functionality, but it’s free and perfect for Metro fans.
