The Harvest is one of the launch titles for Windows Phone 7, and it really works well in showing off the handsets as full gaming machines in their own rights.
Set in the future when man has fallen, the world has become overrun with cyborgs and the X Factor is STILL on the TV, this terrifyingly dystopian future sees you as part of a crack team trying to defeat the Harvesters (not a sinister set of reasonably-priced restaurants).
The game is as much about fighting as it is exploration and upgrading machinery to make yourself even more kick ass than earlier.
Hidden power ups add to the replayability, but despite having three playable characters the missions remain largely the same.
It’s a great game with a massive price tag attached too, so we can’t give it five stars, but it’s a cracker if you’re willing the pay the money.

The interface feels a bit out of place on iOS, but it’s a fun app, and produces interesting results.
