Blow up men with no legs - Seriously!
Imagine a cataclysmic event where everyone loses their legs. And imagine that instead of fixing that, someone puts rockets there instead and you can fly.
Win? Loss? Either way, that’s what this game’s about. You fly around with no legs, a little pepper pot in the sky, and shoot at other legless people.
Rocket Riot makes excellent use of the multi-touch system, with the left side for flying, and the right for shooting and directing your bazooka. That’s not a euphemism.
You can shoot all the scenery, which is constructed using faux 8-bit graphics, and the enemies can be got at from miles away.
Power ups, levels and bosses make this a longer game than some, but the overall variety in it is low. It’s immensely enjoyable though, and firing bazookas at stuff never grows old.
