4A cute little time waster
Parachute Panic Review

Gaming on the mobile has come on in leaps and bounds, and time wasting has taken on a whole new level these days – people expect a lot more from something that costs the same as a bottle of beer.
When you look at it like that, the cost of this game isn’t that bad, but people still want to have a lot of decent game play for £2.50 – thankfully Parachute Panic delivers that.
It’s a cutesy-cutesy game at its heart – plinky plunky music, sketchbook graphics and simple gameplay won’t lure away the die-hard gamers, but for those that sit around at train stations this is the kind of thing you’ll happily waste time on.
Basically, you’re trying to use the touchscreen to make wind to help parachuting stick men land on the safety platform, without landing in the shark-infested waters. We can only assume the plane has been in some terrible accident that this is a necessary course of action.
Gameplay is difficult without being too challenging, and the achievement points on offer range from ridiculously easy to one that’s almost impossible (and requires a huge amount of luck) – but then again, it’s challenges like that which keep you coming back time and again.
On the HTC HD7 the touchscreen also suffers from a slight lag at times too, meaning you’ll miss a key action and have to start the game again… although this is infrequent and not a reason to not purchase
One of the more satisfying games around – the price may be a little higher but sadly that’s something we’ve come to expect from Windows Phone 7.

The interface feels a bit out of place on iOS, but it’s a fun app, and produces interesting results.
Puzzlejuice
Absurdly challenging, sometimes brutal, but frequently brilliant (especially on the iPad); just be aware of what you’re letting yourself in for. (Sob.)
