You’ve seen the game – now it’s on your phone

If you need us to explain Monopoly… well, we probably should for the newbies. It’s a game where you roll dice, move around a board and buy property faster than your competitors.
Actually, just play it, as it sounds really boring when it’s explained.
The game is superbly easy to pick up; too much so at times, with the laborious tutorial something to be quickly skipped. The animations are cool, you can shake the phone to roll the dice and while the touch accuracy can be a little off (which is annoying when you’re trying to point to a specific property you want to nab) it’s OK on larger screen sizes.
The other excellent thing is the fact you’ve got so much customisation on offer: be it speeding up the animations, raising or lowering the cash or just deciding on the ‘Free Parking’ rule, it’s very true to the original Monopoly experience.
We don’t like how easily the computer can win at times, as it seems its luck can be almost endless. However, this seems to just be to stop you being ultra-aggressive early on… although that is one of the best bits of Monopoly, right?
One of the most faithful interpretations of the game, and it comes with Achievement Points to boot, which partly explains the higher price.
