Another sterling time-passer that costs nothing

In today’s modern society, the criticism of our short attention spans is growing cacophonous. We’re all too obsessed with instant information, and our ability to sit and take in life as it should be is being constantly eroded.
Screw that. We have smartphone for a reason – we want to look at information all the time and play games involving flying birds. So hello to Penguin – a child of the internet’s Flash games.
The premise is simple – pressing the screen makes the penguin fall to the ground, and you use that momentum to fling him up across mountains. The longer he’s in the air, the better, and the longer you keep it going the more points. Simple.
It’s a little simplistic, but you can manage some tip top scores if you practice enough, and even the annoying ads aren’t enough to put us off.
It needs some global leaderboards to properly show off your domination and skill, but other than that it’s a brilliant free game.
