Finally, the perfect fusion of karaoke and smartphones
by on January 26, 2012
Lyrics to songs are something most people will have searched for on the internet at some point or other in their lifetimes, and found the random gibberings of someone that uploaded their take on a song’s word.
(No, Take That never sang a song that went ‘A million love songs, dead ringer’. Idiot).
But what if you could not only search for song lyrics, but also… wait for it… then play back those lyrics like a karaoke machine on your phone? We know… it’s the dream right?
Hold yourself together, but that’s what this is. Speed, word size and font can all be calibrated, so all you need is a microphone, the song and a room full of people that don’t want to listen to you and you’re in heaven.
Of course, the database of songs is far from extensive, meaning you’re not going to get something for every song you’re after – and if a chump has uploaded them in another language you’ll find yourself warbling the Greek version of Lady Gaga’s ‘Look at me, I’m so ALTERNATIVE’ track.
But that aside, and the sheer embarrassment too, and you can have your very own ‘empty orchestra’ night too. (Google it).
