BBC Radio Player
Tune in, turn on, do whatever else you fancy
BBC Radio Player Review

BBC radio channels are plentiful in their range, style and genre – so it makes sense that you’d want to have a crack at some of them on your phone.
There are 74 in all to play with, and all offer up information about what’s coming up with pictures of the DJs as well – making it very easy to choose what you want to listen to in the future.
The app will let you stream over 3G or Wi-Fi – but helpfully disables the former option unless you expressly request it in the setting to stop you eating millions of bytes of data. (There’s even a note to let you know how much you’ll consume in an hour.
In fact, the only thing we’re a little annoyed at with this app is the fact you can’t record the radio to your phone to listen to offline – it would be great if you could schedule your favourite DJ.
Background listening is also supported for all those Mango users out there.
Overall, if you’re a fan of the BBC, then this is an app that will service all your listening needs.
