The beauty of the nebula in your phone
Have you ever looked up to the sky, and really seen it? Gazed upon it and marvelled at its beauty and wonder? No? Well, how about an app with some pretty pictures?
Yeah, now we’re talking. Space pictures never fail to be entrancing (well, the good ones) and this application has them in spades.
Every day a new picture arrives to be marvelled at, and comes complete with a description that makes very little sense to the non-astronomers out there, but does give an awe-inspiring feel for galaxies than span millions of miles from millions of light years away.
You can save each image and view it high res too – we suggest you enable ‘high-res auto download’ in the menu as each pic looks that much more impressive when viewed this way.
You can even have new images as the live tile on the phone each hour, which is a nifty feature, although one that doesn’t always work.
A cracking application if you’re slightly interested in the planets and stars… and still worth it if you want to see the odd pretty picture.
