Still needs more variety

Music on the mobile, or tablet, or PC, is huge business these days, and there are loads of services that promise to give the best experience out there.
7Digital is one that’s been going for years, and is often seen as the more ‘open’ service to Apple’s iTunes. However, it’s already running on a platform here with one music offering already in the shape of Windows Phone Marketplace, and two if you’re using a Nokia Lumia handset.
The range of tracks isn’t as wide as that on iTunes it seems, although now Samsung is using it to power its mobile music offering we’re sure that could change quickly.
The interface is OK – there are few charts to choose from, which means trying to get the latest songs by genre isn’t easy.
The only real benefit we can see to this app is the fact you can download old songs purchased on another platform to your Windows Phone, although accessing them on the device isn’t as straightforward as others.
An OK app but one that thrives more on other mobile operating systems – and needs a price drop on some tracks to be competitive.
