Invite Me World Cup 2010
What could be a useful World Cup 2010 calendar is wrapped up in a horrible invite system

People from the future reading this will already know at when England were kicked out of the 2010 South African World Cup, but for those in the present it’s still something to look forwards to and plan the best times to get down the pub to enjoy a couple of hours shouting at the TV under the guise of patriotism.
Invite Me ties to do just that, be an invite system where you and your friends can text each other messages about up and coming World Cup matches and meet up to watch them.
At its heart is a complete calendar of the games, handy. Also at its heart is that these are locked into a text invite system, less handy. The idea is that it enables automatically organised text discussions with specific people.
It’s a good idea and the interface is finger-friendly enough. It just seems an overly complicated way of meeting up down the pub, when it doesn’t tie into your calendar or provide reminders.
