News, get your news here. Associated Press News to be more specific. It may be US centric but it’s news nonetheless and presented well.
AP Mobile Review

People love news. Why else would there be entire TV channels dedicated to the stuff 24 hours a day, seven days a week? But why limit yourself to TV or dead-tree publishing, when Associated Press will fill up your phone with the current affairs?
AP Mobile doesn’t get off to a great start as it asks for your local area based on a US ZIP code. Live outside the US like us? Tough. But if you can get past this little bump what you will find is a well presented, relatively easy to use service.
Headlines are formatted and scaled well for small screens and the touch interface works well, apart from scrolling between categories where the arrow buttons are ludicrously thin.
News items are broken into categories as you would expect, from breaking and political news to sports and tech. You can even customise and create your own channels.
Better is that it’ll download and cache a selected number of stories so you can read on the move without a data connection. It’s just a shame it’s so US centric.
