Track pretty much anything and log the route online so you can recollect those strenuous days

Annoyances first: to log trips and runs you need to register at smartrunner.com and if you don’t upload them, you won’t be able to review the logs.
That aside SmartRunner pretty much makes you that, it’s a finger-friendly trip logger that will track your location via GPS and let you know how long, how far, how many calories and where you’ve been.
There are a good number of apps that do this already but none quite with SmartRunner’s slick presentation.
It’s also not limited, catering for running, walking, cycling, driving or almost any activity you like. Its large start/stop/pause button is thumb-sized and it has a lock option and happily tracked us around town from our back pocket.
The front end is clear and easy to use and as we’ve mentioned the app isn’t designed to review the logs it creates. The idea is you do this via the SmartRunner website, which is free to join and also offers a number of paid-for services. We found it accurate and easy to use.
