SPB TV Review

Technically we love SPB TV, it’s a great little app on many levels that delivers its basic promise of a host of TV channels streamed direct to your mobile, including Fox and the BBC.
The problem? Most of the channels are news-or music-based and a large proportion are from a wide-range of different countries. A PDF of the full list of channels can be found here http://tinyurl.com/yhyuedn and the good news is that there’s a promise of more channels to come in the future.
It certainly has promise, the quality is good and the interface is great to navigate. There’s even a comprehensive channel guide from which you can add reminders, though there’s no search.
You’re also able to edit the main channel list so can remove unwanted ones. The biggest problem is the lack of desirable content, there’s simply nothing really here of interest. If you’re travelling and want the news most venues you’ll be frequenting will have it, but for foreign speakers this might be a more desirable option.
