We’re all for fun apps, they pass the time and get you through those dull commutes or while you wait for your delayed – insert form of transport here – to arrive.
5001 Amazing Facts is a well presented fun app that offers up factoid after factoid, everything from informing you that 92 atomic bombs have been lost at sea to the ABBA Gold album has been in the UK charts for 280 weeks.
We’ll hand it to Xim, it has produced a slick looking app, more so than many others. Just how ‘fun’ this is for you is something you should know already, personally we’d prefer to scuttle off and read a few random Wikipedia pages, though we’d have to be online for that.
There is a kind of a morbid fascination wondering what the next fact is going to be, such as in 1998 more fast food workers were murdered on the job than police officers.
If there were more of a game element or trivia quiz or background music we’d see more to recommend here than just a bank of admittedly fun facts.
