Nothing is guaranteed to make you the life and soul of the party more than getting your Windows Mobile smartphone out and waving it about, right?
Cocktail Mixer Review
by on August 14, 2010
We’re not sure alcohol and smartphones mix, there are too many combinations that end up with water-damage markers being triggered and hundreds of pounds worth of expensive tech gadgetry ending up sozzled.
Despite this cocktail lists seem like a good idea and this one ticks all the basic boxes to help you get a perfect drink with or without the alcohol.
The actual recipes aren’t stored locally, so internet access is required. Searching for your next tipple can be a straight search or done by a full list, type of glass, type of drink or by ingredient.
You can also build up a list of favourites. This sounds fine but with over 15,000 listed it can become a chore to search through. More intelligent filters such as strength, region or popularity would help cut down the number.
The measures are American so expect ounces and cups, while the entire list has an obvious American bias and we were amazed there was no ‘martini’ section. Despite these quibbles it’s still an obvious app for anyone who imbibes at all.
