Take the Good Book with you, wherever you may wander
Previously, we’ve looked at Easy Bible ASV, which was a perfect demonstration on how not to create an ebook reader, never mind one supposedly geared towards reading/studying the bible.
Thankfully quick on its heels comes BibleSurfer a free bible reader, using the Kings James translation.
Straight from the start this does many things right that Easy Bible ASV simply failed to do, such as be easy to navigate, natural to scroll through passages and swipe between chapters.
So you can happily browse and read. Beyond basic reading, there’s a quick to use Look up feature that takes you to the Old/New Testament, Book and Chapter you want.
Beyond this there’s a useable search function, though it falls back to stylus-based dialog buttons and it is possible to download a limited number of other translations from its website, though this is a manual process.
It does lack other features, such as study guides, bookmarks, annotations, verse of the day but as a free reader it work perfectly.
