It’s rare that we’re impressed by a technical app, especially on the Windows Mobile platform, but with the awkwardly-named WMWiFi Router we certainly are.
In short it turns your phone into a wireless router, much the same as the Frodo 2.2 update brought to Android. The thing that makes this particularly impressive is its sheer easy of use. We were expecting a horrendous configuration process but all it took was a single click, entering a password and we were done. It was as simple as that.
The other impressive feature is the range of options. You can of course connect to your phone via Wi-Fi but also supported are Bluetooth and USB connection. It’ll happily manage multiple users and provides full reporting on data transfers and battery usage.
Our only complaint is that it only provides WEP encryption but that’s understandable as WPA is a far more processor intense encryption. It’s pricey but we think it’s worth it.
