Remote wipe your Bada phone if you lose it
Samsung Dive Review
by on September 6, 2010
Dive is a free service from Samsung that enables you to completely wipe your Samsung Wave should you lose it. You’ll be able to stop anybody who has stolen the phone being able to access your contacts, images and other information – providing the phone is hooked up to a data connection.
Firstly go to the Security options in the Settings menu on your phone to enable the service on your handset. This didn’t work initially when we tried it, but trying a second time we enabled it with no problem. Sign in at the Samsung Dive website (you can use your Samsung account to sign in) and you’ll be offered four options you can use at any point – remote lock, remote wipe, an alert that tells you when the SIM is swapped and finally the ability to see the location of your phone.
The SIM swap warning might be a handy thing to set up and certainly means you can keep tabs on your handset Once you’ve signed up Samsung Dive is currently available in the UK and Germany, though other locations will follow.
