Download YouTube videos to your Bada handset
The user reviews of this app are decidedly mixed. While we did get it to work (albeit sporadically), the Samsung Apps download page is littered with those that couldn’t get it to work.
The app has a single function and that is to download YouTube video to your phone as either a 3GP or MP4 file. However, it needs the specific video URL to work and this isn’t the easiest thing to extract from a mobile web page on your Bada handset – although the page link did seem to work.
The most frustrating thing is that you don’t actually know whether things are working or not; when the screen switches to the ‘downloading’ status, you don’t know the rate of progress whatsoever. So it could be stuck at 1 per cent or have downloaded 99 per cent – there’s just no way of telling. As a consequence, YouTube Downloader is a missed opportunity – it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to part of the time and doesn’t seem to help you when it does. A bit of a shame.
