A drum kit, in your pocket
DrumKit Review
by on October 29, 2010
As you might guess, this app makes drum sounds as you tap away at the screen. It includes a bass drum, a snare drum an open/closed hi-hat, three toms and a crash cymbal, but what it doesn’t do is enable you to play different instruments at the same time.
That’s because of our Samsung Wave’s limited support for multi-touch in some apps – while the handset itself does support multi-touch, this app doesn’t (as with many others on Bada) and it’s a frustrating limitation.
Surely with something like this you should be able to use both hands? Unfortunately, it’s a key problem and really detracts from usability. Even if Drum Kit is only meant as a bit of fun, it still disappoints. You might still be able to get a few minutes of fun from it though and, volume-wise, the sound can get ear-splittingly loud.
