Get up-to-the-minute train and travel info on all Virgin trains, including platforms, delays and arrival times.
The purpose of this app is fairly obvious – it gives you up-to-the-minute info on the Virgin Trains service. If that’s not exciting enough, then listen to the detail. You can view departure and arrival board information, while it will also tell you the time your train is scheduled for, the time it is expected and the platform number at stations where available.
There’s also the ability to view travel updates for Virgin Trains services and get real-time information on any potential delays to your journey.
You can either specify a station to access results or alternatively the app will use your Nokia’s in-built GPS receiver to find your current location and display the relevant info.
So VirginTrains is a fairly standard app then, and certainly rather specific, but should you often use a Virgin service on the West Coast mainline then we’re sure you’ll find the app a great deal of use. Now, if only all Virgin trains would offer free Wi-Fi for mobile devices…
