Simply translate from one language to another
Translate Review
by on November 22, 2010
This app is a good example of an Ovi app that’s effective, but simply reuses a service you can easily browse to elsewhere on the internet. In this case it’s Google Translate that’s used as the engine behind this the app – the benefit being that 45 languages are available to translate to and from, plus the translation takes place pretty quickly.
That Google is used isn’t a criticism, because it means the app is far more effective. You simply enter the phrase you want translated into the top box of the app’s main screen, select what language you want it translated to and then your translation will appear in the bottom part of the screen. Should you want to, you can also switch round the content of the two boxes. It’s not an incredible app, but it is effective and may well get you out of a tight spot when you’re out and about.
