Send the AA your location and get traffic updates
Originally available on iPhone, iPad and Android, the AA’s cornerstone app has now made it to Nokia. Cleverly, the AA Breakdown & Traffic app enables the breakdown chaps to find stranded motorists – one touch and your call and location are transferred through to the AA’s Breakdown Control Centre. As well as locating a breakdown, the app has a plethora of other useful features. Up to date traffic information from AA Roadwatch provides details of roadworks, incidents or hold-ups on detailed street level maps. The app also has a useful Reminders feature which can help motorists with key dates for their vehicle. The reminders section can hold the renewal dates for your car insurance, tax, service and MOT, and it will notify you when these dates are approaching. If you’ve ever fallen foul of the law in these areas, you’ll know how useful that would be.
