4The ultimate Ovi Twitter app
Gravity Review
by on October 1, 2010
If you’re a true Twitter addict, this is the complete app for you – especially if you regularly flick between more than one Twitter account, perhaps for personal use and work use. However, you’ll have to pay out for the privilege of owning Gravity – this app is £8! And when other free clients are available it seems rather outlandish.
However, you can perform many actions that match even the most complex desktop clients like TweetDeck – upload images to MobyPicture, TwitPic, TwitGoo or Posterous, perform multiple searches and catch up on trends. There’s also support for Facebook status updates as well as Foursquare.
You can even configure audio alerts for various events, such as a direct message. There are also different themes so you can change the appearance of the app, too. Pretty comprehensive then, but that price point remains difficult to fully get on board with. The app is indeed remarkable but when there are fully featured Twitter apps available for free on other platforms, you have to think it’s only a matter of time before we get cheaper and free Ovi apps that come close to matching Gravity.

The iOS equivalent of a plain cheese sandwich: does the job, but it won't linger in the memory afterwards.

The interface feels a bit out of place on iOS, but it’s a fun app, and produces interesting results.
Puzzlejuice
Absurdly challenging, sometimes brutal, but frequently brilliant (especially on the iPad); just be aware of what you’re letting yourself in for. (Sob.)
