Of course, Tweets60 has a distinct advantage over iPhone twitter apps – because the app can multitask on the Series 60 operating system, you can have it running in the background where it will dynamically update at regular intervals. There are two versions of the app – this free version is fine for the basic function of tweeting, replying and retweeting.
But the pro version includes the ability to create Twitter searches and post images to Twitter using the TwitPic hosting service. You may think those are extra features worth paying for, but we reckon the basic app will be more than enough for most tweet-happy Nokia owners. Mind you, the paid-for version is currently discounted to a mere £1, so it’ll hardly break the bank.
Ravensoft, the company behind the Tweets60 apps, say that its apps will be supporting Twitter lists in the near future. Tweets60 is genuinely decent Twitter app, even if some software on other platforms would put it in the shade.
