The full Facebook experience finally comes to your Nokia
Finally Facebook is rolling out its apps to more mobile handsets. While the company has been busy expanding, it hasn’t done itself justice in terms of app development; there is still no iPad app, for example, leaving the way open for third party developers to provide access. Clearly Facebook sees the future as phone rather than tablet, something Mark Zuckerberg has admitted. Here then, is the company’s app for Nokia S60 touch-based handsets – and it’s a cracker. You can perform all the normal Facebook functions such as updating your status, add comments on walls, uploading photos, checking and sending messages and sorting out which invites you want to RSVP to. It’s as slick as an interface as you’d expect and, if you’re a regular Facebook user, you certainly won’t be disappointed by what’s on offer. The only unfortunate thing about accessing Facebook on the move is that it lacks the visual impact of the full screen version – images are too small to see without enlarging them, for example. But that’s a small gripe as the app does what it was designed to do – keep you in touch with friends and family.
