Browse the latest arrivals and search for new looks on this high street shop’s fashion app.

The Zara app has been created by the popular clothing store to enable you to see its collections on your Nokia handset.
You can browse through new arrivals every week as well as check out photos of everything on sale. The dynamically-updated content within the app is separated into four sections – Women, Men, The Young and Kids. Drilling down into one of these sections (we’ll look at Men) enables you to view new arrivals, browse through images of the collection, check out the look book (essentially images of supposedly cool people modelling combinations of the clothes) and then finally the catalogue where, again, there’s somebody posing.
On your touchscreen, tapping on a particular item or look will zoom you into the image. We thought there were two downsides to the app. Firstly, there’s no way to buy the clothes or even to get some kind of reference code so you can go and buy the clothes in-store.
Secondly, the pages loaded so slowly. Yes, we know they’re dynamically updating from the internet but our connection was pretty quick in other apps. So the Zara app is a decidedly mixed bag. If you’re a fan of the chain, you might like it. If you’re not, then move on. There’s nothing here for you.
