Donate to current Oxfam appeals from your Nokia handset
Oxfam Donate enables you to make a difference in lives from your handset. Oxfam Donate is a response to mass public appeals such as the recent help for Pakistan – you can view fundraising updates in real time and see progress reports on each particular situation.
Up to five campaigns are featured at any one time – refreshed by Oxfam when necessary – and you can learn about the work Oxfam is doing before donating yourself via phone, SMS or PayPal. The first Oxfam Donate projects are the emergency work in Pakistan, an education programme for children in rural Tanzania, a programme to help protect people in Haiti from climate-related disasters, plus HIV and AIDS programmes in South Africa and Thailand.
There are also options to take part in payroll giving and Oxfam credit cards. The app is certainly ‘on brand,’ using the Oxfam logos and fonts and really looking the part. It’s not exactly full of information, but it serves the purpose and we’re sure Oxfam will find it a useful exercise.
