London Bike Finder
Find a bike and see how much it's costing you while you're on the move

This app complements the Boris Johnson-initiated London Barclays Cycle hire scheme operating in the capital. The app employs the GPS chip in your Nokia, enabling you to find a bike docking station and track the time and cost of your journey.
It works well over a 3G connection and, after you’ve cancelled a load of annoying data warnings (Nokia’s fault) when you launch the app, London Bike Finder offers you four options when you first launch - Nearest Bike, View Map, Time and Cost or Close.
Choosing Nearest Boke will show how you can get to your nearest hire point while Time and Cost will track your hire usage. When you first pick up your bike from a docking station, press the Start button. The app will then tell you how long you’ve had the bike for (yes, it’s just a timer) but it will also show how much it’s costing you as well as when the next price increase will occur.
The app is decent in terms of overall functionality, though we guess it would be great if you could check availability too. A well designed app, too.
