Heart Rate Monitor
Heart Rate Monitor converts your pulse rate into heart rate, vital for exercise junkies…
Heart Rate Monitor Review
by on March 17, 2010
Heart Rate Monitor is a simple and fast tool for calculating your heart rate as you take your pulse. Each time your heart beats, tap the screen – or press the central nav key should you not have a touchscreen handset.
The app told us that we’d need to press about five times to get an accurate reading (this is certainly where you need one of the more responsive touchscreen Nokias!).
The best thing about the app is that it is responsive to the touch – we found it needed a lighter touch than some of the menu functions on our Nokia X6. Your heartbeat is then shown as a numerical reading as well as on an ER/Casualty-style chart for added effect. We can’t imagine this app being super-useful, but it’s the kind of thing that you’ll either immediately have a purpose for in mind – or you simply won’t.
Still, if you’re into your exercise, we’d say you will find the app rather useful.
