Instantly create new playlists that match your taste
Playlist DJ Review
by on June 13, 2010
Playlist DJ will automatically work to match your music to your mood or change your mood with your music.
It automatically analyses and profiles the music collection on your Nokia handset, then builds playlists when you request. You can start a favourite song to build a playlist around it, or set the mood with one of the sliders.
Happy? Whack that slider up and the music listed will change accordingly. Playlist DJ uses a technology called Moodagent to analyse the beat, genre, sound and age of the recording – enabling it to build an accurate picture of the type of music.
Every track it encounters has a profile, and because of that you are able to create playlists based on a given mood or other variable.
If Playlist DJ doesn’t know your music and it’s in the MP3 format (as opposed to WMA, AAC, M4A or other) then it will deep profile the tracks to get to know them.
The great thing about this little app is that you can quite easily change what you listen to and the sliders work pretty well. It’s especially good for discovering music you never knew you had.
