Listen to streaming radio stations from Absolute
This app enables you to listen to streaming audio from Absolute Radio’s various UK stations.
What we like about it most is that it seems to work pretty well over low bandwith mobile data connections. As well as the main station, Absolute Radio UK, there’s also Absolute Classic Rock and Absolute 80s as well as dabbl, a radio station that plays what listeners vote for.
The app has a well structured interface, with the ability to swipe between the different stations on the screen. The remainder of the interface is made up of a volume control, play/pause button as well as some buttons to get more info or leave feedback.
Another thing we liked about this simple app is that it asks you whether you’d like to listen via Wi-Fi or the mobile data connection when it starts – you can also change this at any time. If you like your music, this is an app that’s certainly worth downloading for those times when you just can’t decide what to listen to.
