It’s an instant messaging app only rather than something that connects to Skype for free calls, but is handy none the less – especially if you want something lightweight – eBuddy is only a 300k download so it will hardly take up much room on your handset.
With eBuddy Mobile Messenger you all your buddies from multiple IM accounts are shown in a single list. A clever feature is the ability to snap an image using your mobile’s camera and send it straight off in an instant message. Just open a chat, click on Menu and choose Send Picture.
You can also use your phone’s camera to take a new display picture of yourself. Another handy feature is that the app will also let you send messages even when your contacts are offline. They’ll then get the message when they come online next. Likewise, the application will also let you receive messages sent to you when you were offline when you next sign in.
Despite its small footprint, eBuddy is an ideal messaging client – especially if your contacts are on multiple services.
