Even though you may know the easiest and quickest tube connections to make the grind of your daily commute that little bit easier, if you ever happen to use the tube for getting to places other than the office then you will think this app is a godsend. No more having to ask surly and burly TFL functionaries where you have to change, for example – which is surely worth 59p in itself!
London Tube Deluxe does what it says on the tin. It is a tube guide, but it is the best one you can get, featuring underground maps, timetables and regular status updates. And if you are totally lost then you can find your nearest tube station using the GPS on your phone.
If you like to cut appointments and meetings fine, then you can also plan your tube journeys to the exact minute. However, be warned, one thing that this app will not do is make sure that the trains rattling through our ailing Victorian underground system actually run on time!
