If you are stuck for a place to eat or want to book a table for that special occasion with a loved-one or for a family get-together, then toptable’s restaurant booking service is one of the best free apps out there.
The app was downloaded over 100,000 times in the fortnight after it launched, which, aside from anything else, just shows how much of a foodie nation Britain has become in recent years. “It shows there is a huge demand to access restaurant information and book online and on the go,” noted toptable’s marketing director Carl Lyons at the time.
Basically, if you have an iPhone, then you really do have no excuse for taking your partner to a dodgy restaurant ever again.
However, if you really do want to limit your restaurant searches to the very high end of the market, then you still might want to invest in a paid-for app such as the very detailed guides on offer from Michelin.
That said, we’ve been using toptable online for years now and it very rarely lets us down. So the fact that we have instant access to the database on the go is a real bonus.
