We want much more analytics power, but it’s free and may prove useful for those who use bitly a lot.
bitly Review
by on January 11, 2013
Lots of people use the URL shortening service at bit.ly – more than you might imagine, since you can use the service with your own domain.
The app lets you shorten URLs – handily offering to shorten URLs it finds in the clipboard when you launch it – search your ‘bitmark’ history, and see how many people have clicked on a link.
The data isn’t very detailed, and it couldn’t find some of our old-but-still-used links, but it’s free and so if you make heavy use of bitly, there’s little reason not to grab it.
