Echoer

Sadly, there are too few Echoes to be useful, and those that do exist read like marketing blurb.

Echoer is a location-based social media tool, designed to show you what other people have said about pubs, restaurants and galleries (or anything else that’s worth talking about) in your local area. Tap My Area and ‘Echoes’ are displayed as blue bubbles.
Cleverly, the size of the bubble is dependent on how many people have ‘amped’ (endorsed) the echo. You can create your own Echoes and share them on Twitter and Facebook. This all sounds great!
Problem is, there are very few Echoes anywhere in the UK, except major city centres. In addition, it’s difficult to tell the difference between those Echoes which are genuine, heartfelt comments from Echoer users and those that have been planted by social marketing companies.
If users can’t trust the Echoes they’re presented with, there’s little point in using the app at all.
