Amazon Mobile UK
Amazon’s iPhone app lets you take pictures of stuff you want and instantly find out if they are in stock.

Amazon’s iPhone app lets you do exactly what you want to do in the world’s biggest online retail store – look for stuff, find stuff easily, then buy stuff. You can also take pictures of stuff that you want and send them to Amazon, who will try to find a product similar to the picture that you have sent that they have in stock.
If you are very very bored, this rather cool feature can also be turned into a fun new game, whereby you send Amazon the most banal, bizarre or plain weird pictures you can think of to see if they have these ‘products’ in stock. Not that we would condone such activity, of course!
Back to the app, aside from Amazon’s experimental send-us-a-photo feature, if you regularly use Amazon to buy books and Blu-rays (as we do) then you will find the layout and interface very easy to use. You can also use it to track your orders and check on when your stuff will be arriving.
But it is that Amazon Remembers feature that really sets this app apart, and that is the thing that you will no doubt be wowing your dad with at the next family get-together, for sure.
