A game this shallow is skating on thin ice, but it’s enjoyable enough that we don’t really care
Ice Rage Review
by on March 21, 2012
Ice Rage looks simple, and it is simple. Based on ancient arcade game Hat-Trick, it’s one-on-one ice hockey – short games and no depth beyond a quick level-based ‘tournament’, and a simultaneous top-down two-player mode.
Thing is, it’s 69p and lots of fun, not least because Mountain Sheep’s crafted a gorgeous-looking game and populated it with characters from Minigore, Bike Baron and Enviro-bear.
Also, the game’s immediacy means it’s always good for a quick blast.
