BoxPlots takes an overdone format and adds charm, character and a smidge of originality, resulting in a very pleasant puzzler.

Before we go any further, BoxPlots is Sokoban. If you don’t like the classic puzzle game where you shove boxes around maze-like levels to pre-defined resting points, you won’t like this. Otherwise, BoxPlots is the best box-shifter on iOS.
Each level is visually distinct: one minute, your cuboid guy’s pushing cuboid penguins on ice, and the next he’s feeding cuboid fish to a giant octopus. It looks great. Some tasks also stray from the norm, demanding you intercept moving boxes or slide shaped tiles about.
There are some snags: the 3Dish viewpoint occasionally makes it hard to figure out item positions, and there’s no undo. However, score and move targets add an extra challenge once you’ve defeated every level.
