iPhone GPS fitness app RunKeeper Pro is great for seasoned runners and newbie park joggers alike.
RunKeeper Pro Review

RunKeeper Pro is essentially like Nike+ for the iPhone. Only better. It is a great app to have if you are a seasoned runner or if you are looking for a gadget-y incentive to pull on your old trainers and go for a jog in your local park.
Other than having to take your iPhone with you on your runs (we recommend one of those elasticated arm cases) there is no need to invest in any other hardware to shove into the soles of your running shoes, as there is with the Nike+ system.
RunKeeper is not only for running, either, as the GPS tracker means that you can use it for cycling or pretty much any other activity where you are moving from A to B and want to track your timings. The app itself is very simple to use, you merely create and account, wait a few seconds for the GPS signal to locate where you are, hit ‘start’ and then run! Until you stop. Then press ‘end’.
You can then choose to view your entire workout history with maps and data on your phone, tracking your improvements over time. The paid-for Pro version of the app is worth investing in as it lets you post geo-tagged photos from your runs, post status updates along the way and share your photo-enhanced running maps with your mates.
