We all know that eating well and cooking with fresh, local produce is the key to staying healthy. And there are hundreds of recipe and cookery apps out there on the App Store claiming to be able to help you improve your culinary skills and your diet.
Jamie Oliver’s 20 Minute Meals has been a runaway hit on the iPhone – and deservedly so, because it is actually one of the best cooking apps yet developed and has been specifically designed to appeal to experienced cooks and beginners in the kitchen.
The key idea behind the app is for Jamie to equip you with the skills, tools and know-how to produce decent fresh grub in around twenty minutes, helping you to wean yourself away from unhealthy processed ready-meals and the like.
The app is really well designed, listing all the various recipes under ten categories in total, covering off all the staples such as pastas, soups, salads and curries.
When you get into a recipe you can see the thought and work that has gone into making sure this app gets the most out of the iPhone, as each stage is broken down with clear instructionsand accompanying images telling you exactly what you need to do next.
