It won't be the right choice for everyone, but this is a polished, well-conceived and nicely executed app.

The App Store is fat with finger-wagging apps to help you watch your figure; this isn’t another one. Foodish will, yes, help you keep track of whether you’re eating healthily or not, but it’s not a sanctimonious nag.
Just tap to add a snack, meal or drink, then optionally title it, take a photo of the food and record how healthy it is by picking one of four ratings. You might think this kind of self-definition is useless, but if we’re honest we all know how healthy the things we eat are. You can share your pictures on Twitter or Facebook, and even see a chart of your food healthiness.
Whether this approach will work for you very much depends on your personality. Apps such as MyFitnessPal or app-supported services such as Weight Watchers may suit you better for trying to manage your weight, and if you just like photographing and sharing pics of your meals, you can use built-in or free apps. Still, Foodish is a nice balance of delight in food and some tracking to help you keep an eye on what you’re eating, and it looks gorgeous.
